In addition to America's national day of love, we also celebrate the birthdays of two American Presidents (George Washington and Abraham Lincoln), Groundhog Day and the Chinese New Year! Check out some little tidbits about each of these holidays as well as tips and tricks to make your Valentine's Day celebration a success!
Groundhog Day: Six more weeks of winter!!! That's what you get when Groundhog Punxsutawney Phil sees his shadow on February 2. If he doesn't, it means there will be an early spring. Phil has been making prediction for over 120 years and has been 100% correct!
Chinese New Year - the Year of Rabbit: The Chinese New Year 4709 will begin on February 3rd, 2011. The Chinese base their years off of a lunar calendar with each month beginning on the darkest day. This is the longest and most important holiday in Chinese culture with many people taking weeks off from work to prepare for the celebration.
The Birthdays of George Washington & Abraham Lincoln: February 12 marks the day Americans celebrate the birth of one of our nation's most influential leaders, President Abraham Lincoln. Just a few short days later, we again celebrate the birthday of our nation's first president, Mr. George Washington.
And, last but not least....February 14th - Valentine's Day!
Some people dread Valentine's Day, also known as SAD, single awareness day while others use it to show their significant other their undying love and devotion. No matter your feelings on America's national day of love, make it fun with a party of friends or co-workers. Here's a few of our favorite ideas for this most "heartfelt" of days.
- Heart Shaped Burger Sliders

Simply cut your burger, cheese and bun with a heart shaped cookie cutter! Fun, easy and sure to be a hit at the office.
2. Big Kiss Chair ...

No just for Valentine's Day! As they are available in several colors...red, pink, white and lime. I can see this for a Hot Valentine's Day Lounge, guess it's on my mind since it's coming up quickly...or perhaps even a Rocky Horror theme event. Use your imagination and go crazy. www.miamibubble.com
3. Fudge Brownie Lollipops...

Need a break in the office and want to celebrate Valentine's Day without all the mush . Try these fun to make fudge brownie lollipops. All that's needed is a heart shaped cookie cutter, brownie mix, some toppings like powdered sugar, ground chocolate, cinnamon, frosting and fun bits. What a simple and great gift to make and give to the people you love.

4. Give a healthy heart...

Okay, perhaps it's not 100% healthy, but with these delectable strawberries dipped in chocolate...it's a start. Get your order in early at www.creativechocolates.com. One of the most popular Valentine's Day requests is chocolate-dipped strawberries. Creative Chocolates sells them individually or in a chocolate-walled box.
